Drugs raids in Welham Green saw a man and woman arrested on Saturday.

Police descended on the village at roughly 8am seizing cash and cannabis from one property.

A 22-year-old man and a 46-year-old woman, both from Welham Green, were arrested on suspicion of possession of a controlled drug with intent to supply.

They have been relased on police bail.

Sergeant Steve Hynes from the Welwyn Hatfield South Safer Neighbourhood Team said: “These warrants form part of the Safer Neighbourhood Team’s drive to improve the quality of life for residents in Welham Green.

“We rely on information from members of the public about suspicious activity so we can act upon it. If you have information about suspicious behaviour or suspected drug dealing, please report this to police via the non-emergency number, 101. You can also contact the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
