Between 3pm on Wednesday and 10.30am on Thursday, a thief or thieves broke into a home in Raymonds Plain in the Woodhall area by smashing a back window.

The owners returned to find they had lost a steel watch with a pearlescent face and gold ring, both made by Cartier, together with other platinum rings, and an HTC Desire Z mobile phone.

“Equally, if anyone remembers seeing anything suspicious around the area between the stated times please contact me as you may have information that could assist the investigation.”

Anyone with information can contact DC Cotte on the police non-emergency number 101, citing crime reference B1/14/490,
