Check this list to find out whether your child’s school is closed due to the snow on Friday, March 2.

This list is updated as announcements are made.

•St Mary’s North Mymms: Open - ‘There will be no after school clubs. We will monitor the weather throughout today and inform parents if we need to close early.’

•Homerswood Primary School, Welwyn Garden City: Open today

•Oak View Primary and Nursery School, Hatfield: Open today

•Dame Alice Owen’s School, Potters Bar: Open

•Holy Family School, Welwyn Garden City: Closed ‘due to site safety and access conditions, coupled with further adverse weather predicted throughout the day the school will not be open today’

•Hatfield Community Free School: Closed ‘due to bad weather’

•St Michael’s, Woolmer Green: School is open today from 9am, ‘but registers will remain open until 9:45am, so leave plenty of time for travel. We will keep you updated during the day incase the snow comes later. Please dress warmly with suitable footwear.’

•All Saints, Datchworth: School is open today. ‘There has been no further snow but take care on roads and allow extra time - registers will remain open till 9:30am. Other schools having closed locally which provide and transport school meals for us, may cause a problem for Rec and KS1 lunches. Please keep an eye out for further updates should we need to send children home.’

•Springmead Primary School: Closing at 12pm today due to ‘snow expected this afternoon’

•Watton at Stone Primary & Nursery School: Open today

•Green Lanes, Hatfield: Open today

•Rowans Primary School, Welwyn Garden City: Closed due to ‘bad weather’

•Creswick Primary and Nursery School: Closed ‘due to bad weather’

•St Philip Howard, Hatfield: Open ‘but due to the weather forecast, we will be shutting at 2.15pm. There will be no after school club(ASC) or sports clubs’

•Knebworth School: Closed ‘due to a breakdown in heating and expected weather conditions’

•Howe Dell Primary School, Hatfield: ‘Expects to be open. After School Club will be open only until 4pm for commuters and continuing to support our working parents.

‘Decision made tonight to support childcare and family arrangements.

‘Absences will be marked as unauthorised, mostly our families are local, so do walk if access to roads a concern.

‘Side gate open until 9am. As today there will be an open register for Friday, up until 10am: no late marks.

‘This decision has been reached having considered local forecasts, staff able to access site at present and a dress up day, which children, staff and parents have prepared for.’

•Kimpton Primary School, Kimpton: Closed due to ‘bad weather’

•Pope Paul Catholic Primary School, Potters Bar: Closed due to ‘severe weather conditions’

•Little Heath Primary School, Potters Bar: Closed due to ‘ongoing adverse weather and unsafe travel conditions’

•Ladbrooke JMI, Potters Bar: Closed due to ‘bad weather’

•Southfield School, Hatfield: Closed ‘due to the forecast of ice and further snow’

•Cranborne Primary School, Potters Bar: Closed - ‘As a group of local heads we have taken the decision based on the safety of pupils, parents and staff. Many thanks for your patience and support during this time.

‘We plan to open on Monday, unless you hear otherwise. We will also update you as to a rearranged date for the World Book Day so we still get to dress up!’

•Chancellor’s School, Brookmans Park: Closed due to ‘the ongoing inclement weather conditions’

•St John’s Primary School, Disgwell: Closed

•Brookmans Park School, Brookmans Park: Closed

•Mount Grace School, Potters Bar: Closed due to ‘adverse conditions compromising safety on site’

•Lakeside School, Welwyn Garden City: Closed

•De Havilland Primary School, Hatfield: Closed ‘due to deteriorating conditions and the safety of the school’s site, school will be closed on Friday’

•Commonswood Primary and Nursery School, Welwyn Garden City: Closed ‘due to the forecast of freezing rain and heavy snow overnight’

•Knightsfield School, Welwyn Garden City: Closed ‘due to the adverse weather conditions - students should check Show My Homework for any work that has been set’

•Sherrardswood School, Welwyn Garden City: Open - “School will remain open. Your minibus driver will be in contact if there are any issues with the bus routes. As heavy snow is forecast on Friday evening, no afterschool clubs will run and we request that you pick your children up promptly at the end of the school day (4pm).”

•Queenswood School, Brookmans Park: Open - “On Friday, the school will remain open as normal.

“If the weather deteriorates or the forecast changes, we will send out further information. School transport will depart at the usual time of 16:30.”

•Goffs Oak Primary and Nursery School, Goffs Oak: Closed ‘due to the adverse weather we have taken the decision to close the school tomorrow. Information has been e-mailed to all parents.’
