The weather will warm up on New Year’s Eve in Welwyn Hatfield but will drop below freezing at the start of the new year.
According to the Met Office, on New Year’s Eve (Saturday, December 31) temperatures will reach a high of eight degrees in Welwyn Hatfield, with overcast skies and moderate visibility as the fog clears.
On New Year’s Day (Sunday, January 1) temperatures will drop to freezing overnight, with a strong chance of heavy rain throughout the morning.
The sky will brighten up again on the bank holiday (Monday, January 2) with very good visibility but a maximum temperature of two degrees during the daytime.
On Monday night, however, the temperature will drop to minus two degrees, before warming up again on Tuesday.
