WATER bills are set to rise by around 10 in the coming year for Times Territory customers.
Veolia Water Central, based in Tamblin Way, Hatfield, has confirmed the average water-only bill will increase from 159.65 to 169.07 from April 1. Overall charges will increase by 1.2 per cent above inflation.
Drinking water supplies will cost each household an average of 47p per day in 2011/12.
Customer relations director Vincent Muldoon said: “Nobody likes price rises, especially in the current economic climate.
“We have worked very hard to keep customers’ bills affordable, while at the same time ensuring we can maintain very high levels of service they have come to expect from Veolia Water.”
