Welwyn Garden City's The Voice UK star triumphed in the latest round of the top TV talent show.
"Words can’t describe [how I am feeling].
Jimmy, we have kind of had our differences but he is a good guy, thank you"
Lee Glasson, 31, was pitted against fellow Team Kylie contestant Jimmy Weston in the competitive duet section of the show, dubbed The Battle Phase, which you can watch above.
The duo – who both currently live in Coventry – took on The Killers classic When You Were Young on Saturday’s BBC One show.
The Welwyn Hatfield Times caught up with Lee ahead of the show.
Before the performance Lee and Jimmy were given a helping hand by Scissor Sisters frontman Jake Shears, who coach Kylie Minogue drafted in.
The Australian pop princess said: “Jimmy has got that lovely, raspy Bryan Adams type rock voice. Lee likes to really put his take on it.”
After the performance she added: “[That was] One of my favourite songs and they both did it justice in very different ways. You are like rock stars individually, one classic, one indie, but you are both good.”
Some of the judges were critical of Lee, with Sir Tom Jones labelling his performance “a bit tense” but said the former Monk’s Walk School student hit the high notes he “started to float up there”.
Kylie however thought Lee was a stronger singer and Jimmy was sent home.
After being crowned the winner Lee said: “Words can’t describe [how I am feeling].
“Jimmy, we have kind of had our differences but he is a good guy, thank you.”
Lee now heads to the Knockout Stage and if he gets through again will be able to perform in the live rounds.
