A Welwyn Garden City man charged with terrorism-related offences has been remanded in custody following a court appearance.
Longcroft Lane resident Warren Sneddon, 44, appeared at Westminster Magistrates’ Court yesterday after being charged with several terrorism-related offences, as well as possession of a firearm without a licence and the cultivation of cannabis.
It follows the execution of a search warrant by the Eastern Region Counter Terrorism Policing Command, supported by Herts Police and firearms officers, at a Longcroft Lane property last Friday.
The Metropolitan Police has now taken over the case, and following yesterday’s hearing a spokesman confirmed Sneddon was remanded in custody and will next appear at the Old Bailey on October 13.
He did not give a plea, the spokesman added.
