WITH the credit crunch hitting hard, times are tough.
So it's nice to welcome a few professionals back to Welwyn Hatfield.
In part two of our business profiles we focus on musician Alex Larke.
ALEX Larke, 29, has spent the last 18 months working as a tutor in schools in the Lake District, but is now back in the area with his company The Vocal Group.
"I loved the lakes," said Alex.
"But I did miss my family and friends.
"It's nice to get away, but you appreciate your home once you come back."
Alex, originally from Panshanger, WGC, has relocated to Woolmer Green, and offers one-to-one tuition for people aged 11 and over from either his house in Mardleybury Road or home appointment.
"My students are young people and adults of varying abilities, wishing to improve their technique, ability and overall confidence," said Alex.
"I ensure they sing safely, without stress to the vocal chords, no matter their singing style.
"Lessons are individually tailored to each person, and are designed to really inspire the students, to build their confidence and be proud of their achievements."
The Vocal Group offers lessons to anyone, regardless of ability or lack of experience.
