A MAN inspired by the Paralympics will be putting on his running shoes to compete in the Virgin London Marathon 2013.

Joddy Murray-Bruce has already raised half of his £2,000 target for Get Kids Going, which gives disabled young people the chance to participate in sport.

The 26-year-old said: “The key to happiness is having dreams. The key to success is making these dreams come true.

“Help make this a reality for a future sporting hero by donating to my chosen charity.”

Joddy, of Homestead Road, Hatfield, was so inspired after watching the 2012 London Paralympics he wanted to help give this chance to others in similar situations and decided to run the marathon to raise money.

He said: “To be honest I have always been the kind of person to challenge myself and there is not anything much bigger than this.”

The account manager has been training three to four times a week for up to three hours in preparation for Sunday’s 26.2mile race.
