A HOLIDAYMAKER has blagged his way into starring alongside Gwyneth Paltrow in a Hollywood film.

Carl Kelly was in Las Vegas after watching the Ricky Hatton fight last June when he spotted filming taking place.

The 29-year-old from Woolmer Green convinced security guards he was an extra and went on to film for 10 hours.

The salesman told the WHT that he even missed his flight home.

Carl now appears in glossy promo pictures for sci-fi thriller Iron Man and is even attending the London premier tomorrow night.

The salesman, who also appears alongside Robert Downey Junior and Jon Favreau, said he sat in a prime spot and was congratulated by other extras for getting onto the film set.

Carl told the WHT: "I was staying at Caesars Palace and saw half the room was cordoned off and could see they were filming.

"Robert Downey Junior and Gwyneth Paltrow were standing there.

"So I thought I bet I can get in there.

"I went up and started a bit of banter with the security guard."

Married Carl thinks his British accent helped con the guard.

"I told him my pass was on the chair and he just waved me through.

"I even missed my flight home."

Carl said he was surprised to be caught up in the media frenzy as national newspapers and TV stations all want to hear his story.

"I've known for ages that I could be on the film, but then the first promo pictures came out.
