Dramatic footage of the chalky subterranean landscape beneath Hatfield has been revealed in a video.

The camera probe, which descended 18 metres (59 feet), to the bottom of the mines, shows cavernous, other-wordly tunnels underneath Chantry Lane.

Work costing £3.6m to shore up hazardous chalk mines started last month and is due to be completed in July.
