The council missed collections on Monday due to a vehicle breakdown


Around 750 recycling bins scheduled to be collected yesterday were missed due to a vehicle breakdown.

Affected areas and roads included Great Ley, Bartlett Close, parts of Homestead Lane, Kenyon Place, parts of Leigh Common, Little Ley, and Meadway.

Oaken Grove, Purdom Road, Sir John Newsome Way, Twelve Acres, Raymonds Close, Walnut Court, Walnut Grove, Chequersfield, Berwick Place, St Josephs Green and Eddington Crescent were also impacted.

The bins were retrospectively collected this morning (Tuesday, September 26), a Welwyn Hatfield Council spokeswoman confirmed.
