Police are investigating a van fire in Potters Bar.

Crews from Potters Bar Fire Station attended the fire at around 10.53pm yesterday.

The fire broke out in a Ford Transit van on St Johns Close.

Police believe that one or more offenders smashed one of the van’s windows and set fire to the interior.

Two men are believed to have ran away from the fire in the direction of the High Street.

Both men were wearing dark clothing, are believed to be in their 20s and were white. One was wearing a hooded top and baseball cap.

The fire was extinguished by the fire service by 11.33pm.

Anyone with any information in relation to the incident is asked to contact Hertfordshire Constabulary via 101, quoting crime reference J3/16/214.
