HELP for students facing the dreaded clearing process today (Thursday) is on hand at the University of Hertfordshire.
The Hatfield-based uni is piloting a new state-of-the-art software system to help those trying to secure places on courses having received their A-level results.
ActiveReception is a live online chat facility which will enable staff at the Hatfield uni to deal more effectively and efficiently with the expected high number of enquiries.
This means staff can handle multiple queries simultaneously and gather the essential student data, rather than dealing with individual telephone calls.
Would-be students can log on to www.herts.ac.uk to take advantage of ActiveReception.
The usual clearing telephone hotline is available by calling 01707 284848.
* You can read more about the ActiveReception system in this week's Welwyn & Hatfield Times.
