IT may be over a year before the General Election, but that hasn't stopped one Labour party member already being appointed a top job.
As Sree Dasari has been given the title president elect at the University of Hertfordshire Students' Union.
In a high turnout at the Hatfield uni, Sree polled more than 1,000 votes to secure his one-year term of office, which starts in July this year.
Wannabe Labour MP Mike Hobday said: "I'm sure Sree will be an energetic and effective representative for his fellow students.
