PARAMEDICS are now sporting a new green uniform.

All ambulance staff donned their new green shirts and darker coloured trousers on Monday.

The move was taken across the region, after the decision to merge Bedfordshire and Hertfordshire with four other counties - Cambridgeshire, Essex, Suffolk and Norfolk - to make the East of England Ambulance Service.

Spokesman Rob Ashford said: "The new green shirts gives our staff a very distinctive look and one of which easily identifies us to the public, and it also ensures that the newly formed regional trust presents with a single image, the uniform looks very smart indeed.
