A VILLAGER found with cocaine with a street value of £44,000 has been jailed for two years, just eight days after being arrested.

As the WHT reported last week, Tony Nunley was arrested following a dawn raid at his home in Kerr Close, Knebworth.

Nunley, 35, was found with the class A drugs and £14,000 in cash, as police dogs scoured the flat, close to the village’s railway station.

Nunley was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply a controlled drug, possession of criminal property and concealing criminal property.

He was remanded into custody and on Friday pleaded guilty at St Albans Crown Court to two counts of possession with intent to supply class A controlled drugs.
