A two-year-old girl from Welwyn Garden City will sit in a box of baked beans for Red Nose Day.

Mia Connell will fundraise in The Howard Centre between 12pm and 2pm on Friday, March 24, by sitting in the beans – wearing goggles and a T-shirt – from around 1.30pm.

Her mum Lisa said: “We were talking to her about it and then we went on Google and she saw a lady sitting in a box of beans, and she said ‘I want to do that, I want to get pennies for the children who have no water and food’.

“She’s so excited. She’s literally decorating her box.”

The full-time mum added: “I’m unbelievably proud. I keep saying to her how proud I am. I can’t put it into words.
