Two women were injured in a collision on the A1(M) near Welwyn

Two women were taken to hospital following a collision on the A1(M) near Welwyn.

The ambulance service was called at 12,30pm yesterday to a four-vehicle crash on the A1(M) northbound, near Junction 6 for Welwyn.

They sent two ambulance crews to treat two women at the scene, one for chest pains and the other for a suspected broken wrist.

Both women were taken to Lister Hospital for further treatment.
