Two people injured in crash on A1(M) near Welwyn Garden City

Police, fire and ambulance services attended a serious crash on the A1(M) near Welwyn Garden City.

The crash took place at around 6.45pm yesterday on the A1(M) northbound between Junction 4 and Junction 5.

Two vehicles were involved in the crash and the carriageway was subsequently closed, with one lane left open to allow traffic to pass the scene.

The ambulance service was called at 6.52pm and two patients were taken to Lister Hospital for treatment.
