TWO men were hospitalised following a two car collision in Hatfield today (Tuesday).

One man was trapped in a vehicle at the scene, in Mosquito Way, and firefighters had to remove the roof to free him.

Emergency crews were alerted to the smash just after 2pm and an air ambulance also rushed to the scene.

Ambulance service spokesman Gary Sanderson said: “Two men have been taken to the Lister Hospital in Stevenage with non life threatening injuries.

“Paramedics and the air ambulance team worked closely with the fire service to treat, stabilise and immobilise them before they were conveyed to hospital.”
