TWO men and seven vehicles were seized in another operation by police to crack down on illegal drivers in Welwyn Hatfield.
Hertfordshire Constabulary's Operation Sentinel team was out in Times Territory, using Automatic Number Plate recognition (ANPR) technology, which targets criminals by reading number plates and comparing them against a variety of databases.
As a result, a 34-year-old man from Canvey Island, Essex, was arrested on suspicion of fraud offences and bailed until September.
Another man from Edgware, also 34, was arrested and charged with driving while disqualified, driving without a licence, driving without insurance, possessing a fake driving licence and making a false statement to obtain insurance.
