OUR search to find five former WGC pupils as part of the town’s 90th birthday celebrations continues – only now we’re down to three.
Neil Todman and Vickie Pickford (nee James) were two of the essay writers who appeared in the 1987 book Welwyn Garden City: A Town Designed for Healthy Living by Maurice de Soissons, son of WGC architect Louis.
“Thank you so much for printing the picture of my lovely 11-year-old hair style!”, said Vickie, who now lives in Hitchin.
Neil, who now lives in Bristol, said: “The town was a good place to grow up and I miss being so close to London.”
We’d still like to hear from Carys Willot, Rebecca Summerfield and Russell Bolton. If you know or are one of these people, please call the newsdesk on 01707 384180 or email whtimes@archant.co.uk
