Police have seized a piece of fence and a scaffolding pole in connection with a fight between people in Hatfield.

At approximately 11.30pm on Saturday, January 28, police received a report that a fight had broken out between a small group of people on the street at St Luke’s Court in Hatfield.

A police spokeswoman said: “Police seized a scaffolding pole and a piece of fence in connection with the incident.

“One man sustained injuries as a result of this incident, which were not serious.

“No other person reported that they had sustained injuries.

“The initial report to police did suggest that a woman had also been attacked. However, the woman reported no injuries and was spoken to by police.

“Two men aged 21 and 24, both of no fixed address, were arrested on suspicion of actual bodily harm in connection with the incident and have been released on police bail.

“Investigations to determine to exact circumstances of this incident are still on-going and anyone who believes they have information should contact police via the non-emergency number 101.”
