Tributes left to man found dead in Welwyn Garden City

Flowers and messages of condolence have been left to a man who was found dead in Welwyn Garden City yesterday (Friday).
A body was found on Friday morning on a patch of grass opposite Peartree Lane, off Broadwater Road by a passer-by at around 6am.
Police are yet to release a name or cause of death.
Two men, a 30-year-old and 29-year-old, were arrested after the body was found, but Hertfordshire Constabulary were unable to confirm what they were being held on suspicion of.
Detective Inspector Tim Redfearn, who is leading the investigation, said: “We are investigating this incident following the discovery of a man’s body on the grass area close to Peartree Lane at 6am this morning.
“The investigation is still in its early stages and I am appealing to anyone who may have any information which could assist us to come forward.”
He added: “We are particularly keen to speak to anyone who may have been in the Broadwater Road area who may have heard an altercation in Woodhall Court between 10.30pm and 11pm last night (Thursday).
“We would also like to speak to anyone who may have noticed anything suspicious in the area over night from 11pm onwards to contact us immediately on the non-emergency number 101 quoting Operation Pedigree or by calling Crimestoppers, the independent charity on 0800 555 111.”
