TWELVE diseased trees are to be chopped down amid fears they could injure residents.
Five horse chestnuts will be felled in Parkway with seven more going from Hatfield Hyde cemetery in Hollybush Lane.
The trees have Pseudomonas syringae – a bacteria infection – which is killing the trees from the inside out.
Branches are already falling down and the trees need to be removed for health and safety reasons.
Welwyn Hatfield Council will employ experts to remove the trees.
