A transgender man is holding a book signing event in Hatfield to spread the word about his journey from 'Lisa' to 'Lee'.
Lee David Carter, who was assigned female and given the name ‘Lisa’ at birth, has written a book about his gender dysphoria living in a female body, and the spiritual experiences that inspired him to seek gender reassignment surgery.
Former Hatfield and Welwyn Garden City resident Lee describes himself as an ‘indigo child’, a New Age concept of people who are born with special and sometimes supernatural abilities.
On Saturday, June 16 at 1pm, readers can join Lee at Waterstone’s Hatfield for a talk and to sign his book, ‘Living with Lisa’, which tells of how he was given the strength to change his life through the support of intervening angels.
“The gender story is just one part of the story,” he told the Welwyn Hatfield Times.
You can also catch Lee on BBC Three Counties radio with Nana Akua at 1pm on June 12.
The University of Hertfordshire alumnus is also filming a documentary with Ghost TV, which he is crowdfunding for.
The crowdfunder is not yet launched, but when it is active it can be found here: https://www.indiegogo.com/project/preview/8090db6d#/
