A signalling fault is causing disruption for Stevenage and Potters Bar commuters this evening.
Great Northern services running between Finsbury Park and Stevenage, on the slow line via Potters Bar, are being delayed by ten minutes or cancelled completely because of a problem by Hadley Wood.
Drivers are having to be ‘talked past’ - this is where rail employees have to verbally authorise services at the signal.
Network Rail technicians are on the case, but it is not expected to clear until 7pm.
