A SWALLOW hole which was said to have left the subterranean sewer beneath exposed has been repaired.
The huge hole opened in Applecroft Road, Welwyn Garden City last Monday and resulted in an emergency road closure.
Experts from Hertfordshire County Council contractor Ringway were on hand last week and filled in the hole.
A spokesman told the Welwyn Hatfield Times: “The repair work was completed as planned on the 17 and 18 September and the road was reopened shortly afterwards.”
