AN impromptu horse show is taking place in Hatfield today (Wednesday), to celebrate St Patrick’s Day.
Members of the travelling community descended on Hatfield town centre this morning, to exhibit a selection of Shetland ponies and Cobs outside Queensway House.
Without any forewarning, the exhibition came as a surprise to residents, shoppers, police and Welwyn Hatfield Council.
Police and environmental health officers are now in Hatfield monitoring the situation.
Police at the scene said that so far, there had been no trouble, save for a few complaints about parking.
