Rush hour car crash closes Welwyn Garden City commuter route

A WOMAN has been taken to hospital after a car crash in WGC this afternoon, which has led to the closure to one of the town’s main commuter routes.

Digswell Road is currently closed after two cars collided at around 5pm today (Friday) at the junction with Knightsfield.

Ambulance spokesman Gary Sanderson said a 21-year-old woman had been taken to the QE2 Hospital in WGC with minor injuries.

Police are working to recover the vehicles and open up a single lane of traffic to ease congestion.
