Service disruption which has crippled Great Northern rail services all day today (Monday) is planned to be rectified overnight.
Network Rail was unable to finish track improvement work between Potters Bar and New Barnet last night.
A Great Northern spokesman said: “We have had delays all day with fast services diverted around the Hertford loop and we anticipate further delays to services getting into King’s Cross for the evening peak and alterations and cancellations will be made to recover the service.”
