Police continue to investigate this morning’s rail death in Woolmer Green, trying to establish how the person came to be on the tracks.
The person, who has not so far been named by police, appears to have died near the Heath Road railway bridge, causing cancellations and serious delays.
Train operator Govia says all lines have now re-opened, but delays of about 45 minutes are likely until about 2pm, exacerbated by a train breakdown at Oakleigh Park.
Police were called at about 7.30am, but do not believe the death was suspicious.
