Welwyn Hatfield MP Grant Shapps has revealed Oyster cards will be coming to Welwyn Hatfield.
The Department for Transport has announced a number of stations around London will be included in the electronic ticket scheme.
Mr Shapps tweeted: “This is great news after a long campaign, but it won’t prevent my battle to get our trains running properly too.”
• Numerous Great Northern trains, which serve the city, were delayed, overcrowded and cancelled earlier this year due to a botched timetable change by Govia Thameslink Railway.
