OVERNIGHT lane closures on the M25 at South Mimms start tonight (Monday) for eight weeks.

The anti-clockwise carriageway will see lanes closed from 10pm until 5.30am between junction 23 for South Mimms and junction 22 for St Albans.

The closures are for excavation and environmental earthworks to be completed, as part of the scheme to widen the M25 from three lanes to four between junctions 16 and 23. The work is expected to last for eight weeks.

One lane will remain open throughout the work, with signs directing traffic into the right lane.
