Drivers are being advised to avoid the M25 anticlockwise route after flooding forced a junction to close.

Highways England staff are currently at Junction 21 near St Albans clearing surface water, which is blocking the carriageway and has caused severe delays.

It has caused knock-on congestion near Potters Bar.

The anticlockwise route has been closed between Junction 21 and 19, and the highways agency advised motorists to seek alternative routes, as there are “severe delays” on the approach to the closure.
