Motorists are being warned of delays on the M25 near Potters Bar after a recovery truck broke down.
Highways England has warned there are around eight miles of slow traffic after the recovery truck, which also has a car strapped to it, broke down between Junction 23 for South Mimms and 24 for Potters Bar this afternoon (August 17).
The incident on the clockwise carriageway has forced one lane to close, and motorists are being encouraged to leave plenty of extra time.
Highways England tweeted: “Still one lane closed on the #M25 J23 - J24. Recovery trucks are on scene and are in the process of removing the stranded vehicle.
“A further 3 lanes are still open past the scene, but traffic remains slow moving in this area.”
