Highways England officers were called at around 6.25am to the anticlockwise carriageway between Junction 25 (Enfield) and Junction 24 (Potters Bar) to help clear the debris strewn along the stretch.

All traffic was temporarily stopped, causing delays of more than an hour, before the lanes were slowly reopened.
