Motorists are being advised to plan ahead before using the M25 near Potters Bar this morning.
A broken down HGV within roadworks on the anticlockwise carriageway between Junction 24 for Potters Bar and 25 for Enfield forced Highways England to close two lanes at around 7am.
One of the lanes has since been reopened, but lane four remains closed due to emergency repairs taking place to the central barrier.
Highways England said delays are building, and warned they could persist throughout the day along the stretch.
