Highways England is warning motorists of continuing delays on the M25 following a blaze.
Shortly after 4pm traffic was stopped in both directions on the M25 between Junction 26 and Junction 27 while the fire service dealt with a vehicle blaze.
Traffic was then released on the anti-clockwise carriageway, but the clockwise carriageway remained at a standstill while firefighters continued working.
At about 4.45pm, Highways England announced that traffic had been released on the clockwise carriageway, but two lanes remained closed while work continues.
