THE Hatfield tunnel will be closed overnight for maintenance work.
The northbound carriageway, which both directions of traffic currently pass through, will close tonight (Monday) at 10pm.
A diversion will be in place, off junction three of the A1(M), along the A1001 and back onto the A1(M) at junction four.
The tunnel will reopen on Tuesday morning, at 5am.
