The suspected stow-aways found in Hatfield yesterday are from Iraq, Iran, and Palestine, immigration officials have revealed.
According to Home Office Immigration and Borders, 20 suspected illegal immigrants were handed over by police after they were found in a lorry near The Galleria at about 3pm.
One, according to police a three-month old baby, is in the care of social services, and the others, including four families, are being investigated by Immigration Enforcement.
