With clear skies forecast overnight Herts County Council has revealed gritters are on standby to combat the danger of icy roads.
Today (Thursday) the authority’s road maintenance arm, Hertfordshire Highways, tweeted: “#GritterTwitter.
“We’ve put our gritters on standby and will be monitoring the forecast throughout the day.”
