Rail union RMT has suspended a planned 24-hour strike by station staff on Great Northern and associated lines.
The strike was intended to be held on Wednesday, September 7, over the proposed closure of ticket offices and reorganisation of the workforce.
Govia Thameslink Railway (GTR) issued the following statement: “We are pleased for our passengers that the RMT has called off its planned station staff strike and we look forward to working together to deliver a better railway for everyone.”
