MORE than 200,000 is being invested installing new cycle racks at railway stations.
The new shelters are being built at 14 stations, including Knebworth, Hatfield, Welham Green, and Brookmans Park.
The scheme, part of the Quality Rail Partnership between First Capital Connect and Herts County Council, started in the autumn and is due for completion by Easter.
FCC spokesman Larry Heyman said: “More and more people are choosing to cycle rather than drive to the station.”
