A derailed train in Welwyn Garden City continues to cause delays for passengers and will do so until at least Friday.
Great Northern Tweeted: “Following a derailed train near Welwyn Garden City on Tuesday, September 13, services may still be delayed by up to 15 minutes until at least Friday 23.”
Great Northern tweeted last week that the issue should have been resolved last Sunday.
A Network Rail spokesperson said: “The location of the derailed train has made re-railing more difficult than would normally be the case.
“In order to reach the train we need to cut down some lineside trees, with work expected to begin on that in the coming days. “We will keep passengers and residents updated as the recovery plan develops and apologise for inconvenience caused.”
