Deer were injured in two separate accidents on the M25 motorway near Potters Bar this morning.
First, at about 4am, police were called to the anti-clockwise carriageway to a report of a deer hit on the hard shoulder near Junction 23 (South Mimms), although they found no sign of the animal.
About four hours later, drivers on the same carriageway were delayed by several deer between junctions 24 (Potters Bar) and 25 (A10).
One injured animal was rescued by the Highways Agency.
