Travellers heading between Welwyn North and Knebworth should prepare for delays.
Rail operator Great Northern has imposed a speed restriction due to a defective track which may slow journeys up to 10 minutes.
The issue, which was announced today at 10.53 am, is affecting northbound journeys between the two stations.
It follows delays further down the line between New Southgate and Alexandra Palace due to a signalling fault when fewer trains were able to run on the southbound lines from the early hours of this morning.
