Landowner Mariposa Investments Ltd has announced it will not renew the lease of the North London Flying School, which will leave the airfield on September 20, ending 74 years of aviation history.
Jerry Larke of Kelbys, who knows several workers and aircraft owners on the airfield, told the WHT: “I was there on Sunday, and a lot of people were very upset.
“People were in tears.”
