Police are warning of long delays on the A1(M) all the way back to Hatfield following a crash near Welwyn.
Highways England has confirmed that all lanes have now reopened on the northbound carriageway between Junction 5 and Junction 6 for Welwyn following the earlier collision.
Delays of an hour remain in the area, but should now start to ease.
Beds, Cambs and Herts Road Policing Unit also said traffic was “solid” all the way back to Hatfield.
